Another important step in the collaboration between Terenzi Srl and longtime client Comelit Group S.p.A., who will reunite in 2025 to renew an intercom project that was already highly successful and well-received in 2018: the Switch series, a monoblock analog entry panel. Made of brushed 316L stainless steel for a distinctive shine and durability, this premium metal creates a minimalist aesthetic, balancing the elegance of a retro style with the functionality of a forward-thinking design.
The Switch project was born in 2018 with the aim of offering a monoblock keypad with a minimalist design, in line with contemporary architecture and capable of combining ease of installation and maximum flexibility. Crafted from brushed AISI 316 stainless steel and designed in Italy, Switch has established itself as a modular and versatile solution, compatible with 2-Wire and ViP systems, and enhanced with advanced accessories such as SimpleKey, T-Coil, and customizable panels.
The ultra-thin front panel (just 2.5 mm), flush inserts, front-removable nameplates, and wired smart buttons have made it a popular choice for its build quality, durability (IK08), and attention to detail.
For this edition, Terenzi will continue to perform the main mechanical processing steps—laser cutting, brushing, and pin welding—while integrating them with a new, important in-house phase: digital printing of the Comelit logo.
Regarding the pre-installation protection of the intercom structure, the two companies agreed to use a new, glue-free film to avoid residue.
The process also includes a passivation cycle, essential to prevent atmospheric agents from damaging the steel (this ensures high resistance even in the face of severe weather, which unfortunately is increasingly common).
