HISTORY

Terenzi Srl began dealing with Medical Devices in 2012 by creating components for non-invasive ventilation for a leader company in the sector, with the aim of creating the best conditions for respiratory well-being.

FEATURES

To complete the line of helmets, Terenzi Srl was asked to make the related valves. The product as a whole must be as comfortable as possible and meet the satisfaction of doctors, health professionals and, above all, patients.

THE TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS

Terenzi Srl has used a particular type of ABS to produce over 4000 kits/year.

Each valve was done thanks to the construction of a 6-cavity mold in which 6 elements were shaped: one flange, one membrane, one grid and three fittings.
The pieces were produced by injection molding of the plastic in the peculiar green color used in the medical field for hospital accessories and machinery, that is Pantone no. 320. A complete kit was prepared with each shot.

The injection molding starts from the use of ABS micro-granules combined with the (master) dye, which through a hopper are conveyed to a tank where they are heated and brought to the fluid state. At this point, the liquid plastic is injected into the mold by means of a screw, which exerts a useful pressure to push the material inside every track. Once cooled, it gives the final shape to the product.
At the end of this step, the mold opens and the elements are ejected thanks to the extractors. The components are released onto a conveyor belt and transported to the verification and subsequent packaging area.

Quality control is carried out for each individual component to ensure compliance.

We have paid particular attention to all the details that make up the product, sharing with our client the need to make the work of health personnel safer and more efficient and improve the well-being of patients.
