HISTORY

Originating from a constructivist inspiration by Park Associati for Driade, Lampsi is composed of a central core wrapped in a rigorous graphic cage. Thanks to these shapes, the light projects its form around, creating geometric lines on the ceiling and walls.

FEATURES

Lampsi is a chandelier with anodized extruded aluminum structure in brown color with a salmon colored central body or with anodized orange color in both components. It has central LED from 4.5W GU10 to 220-240V IP20 cl.1. and diffused light made with 80W or 50W LED strips, applied to the structure. The lamp is available in two sizes: diameter 120 or 80 cm and respective heights of 215 cm or 195 cm.

THE TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS

Terenzi Srl has distinguished itself for its timely engineering and resolution of production criticalities. The light shape with repeated octagons of the lamp generated the problem of having to hide the numerous connection joints. The solution was to design joints inside the structure, which, by means of hook-and-socket coupling, could solidly anchor the innumerable components. We have provided a mechanical alternative to the expensive molded plastic joint and unsophisticated welds. The ceiling fixing rose was obtained by sheet turning, while the equipment for making extruded shapes, containing LEDs and screens, have been designed ad hoc. Another particular study was dedicated to the central body: made of 6 aluminum sections, it is held together by circular spring springs, that create traction between the parts. The body is laser cut and near-folded; it has a central core in galvanized iron, which constitutes its structural core. The LED circuit has been especially created. The quantity and quality of light emitted by LEDs have been evaluated, according to the lighting specifications requested by the client; the wiring has been developed in compliance with current regulations. The complexity of the mechanical assembly has been reduced by analyzing times and methods in pre-series and establishing a precise methodology.
